Tiles was built by Chris Nager as weekend project on February 24–26, 2023.

Tiles started as a generative tiling project, and then morphed into a typeface creation project. All tiles and typeface characters were, quite literally, handcrafted. I drew them on paper before handcoding them as SVGs.

I had a lot of fun building the Tiles typeface, the generative shapes, and this interactive site. This is the first Remix site I've built. Tiles is hosted on Netlify. Both these frameworks/services helped me move quickly.
